“Eric was humble, honest, hardworking and most of all dedicated to the Lord. He has made a great impact and has had an incredible influence in Loganville. He has given all of us a model to live by. What a shame it would be if we let the memory of Eric slip out and not be challenged to take our lives, goals and relationships and walk with the Lord to a higher level.”

-Pastor Derik Lawrence of Victory Baptist Church

Please take a moment to watch Eric’s video and get to know him a little better. You will see firsthand how he lived his life fully and with conviction, and most of all, help us to keep Eric's memory alive.

I believe many would agree that Eric was a very special individual. He was a very polite and soft spoken young man that always wore a huge smile. Eric won over many friends and loved ones in his much too short life.

On June 10, 2008 my life changed forever when Eric was home for summer break and decided to go swimming with friends in a local rock quarry. He drowned at about 4:00 that afternoon and moved on to his permanent home with God.

There is a short video on this site that was taken on his cell phone just minutes before his final jump into the lake. It should remind young people that sometimes harmless fun can not be so harmless. Have a good time, but please use judgment and don't take risks that have such a high price when things go wrong.

Please feel free to look over some of Eric's pictures, articles, and blogs, even listen to his voice on the audio files, and get to know Eric a little better. Also read the touching piece "12 ¹/²" written by his younger brother Alex on the next page tab of this site.  I'm sure you will be moved.

If you would like to know more about our Christ that was the purpose behind Eric's life, please contact our church or any other Bible preaching church and you can find out how to share in the same peace, comfort, and grace that has guided me through these trying times.

I miss you Eric, but I'll see you again.

Love,

Dad

This site is a memorial to my brother, Eric. He lived 20 years, sadly passing away in an accident when I was 18. He was an incredible athlete with unshakable faith who was studying at Gordon College in 2008, when the incident occurred.

Today, his sister attends the same college he went to. She was just 8 years old at the time, but seems to have been inspired by her late brother, wanting to pick up where he left off. In the short time he was here, Eric left wonderful memories with everyone who knew him. His family still misses him everyday, but we are also inspired by his work ethic, humility, and his unwavering faith.

You knew exactly what Eric stood for. And where ever he stood, you weren’t moving him. He had the kind of dedication that writers imagine for their heroes. Only, Eric was the real deal. He was someone that wouldn’t be discouraged from doing what he felt was right, and someone who would devote every fiber of his being to protecting it.

I am grateful to have had a brother like him.

Alex
